Framebrief / FIELD NOTES
The five parts of a useful product photography prompt
A clear visual brief is easier to revise than a collection of impressive adjectives.
Subject and composition
Describe the product as it actually appears, then state the angle and framing. For example: an amber glass bottle, three-quarter view, centered with space above.
Set and lighting
Choose a surface, a background, and a light direction. “Soft window light from the left” is more specific than “beautiful professional lighting.”
Constraints
State what must stay consistent: shape, color, number of objects, and existing packaging. Put aspect ratio in the target tool’s settings when supported; text alone may not enforce it.
