Framebrief / FIELD NOTES

A three-shot coffee cup sequence

An original example of a simple product story with restrained movement.

Shot one: the setting

A ceramic cup sits on a wooden table near a window. Use a static composition with enough surrounding space to establish the morning setting.

Shot two: the detail

Move to a closer view of the rim and glaze. A slow push-in gives the texture room to be the subject.

Shot three: the finish

Return to the full cup with a small amount of rising steam. Keep the silhouette and handle orientation consistent with your starting photograph.

Put it into practice.

Bring your own details and try a tool from the workbench.
